Alumna appointed as Goodwill Ambassador for UN Refugee Agency

An Oxford Brookes alumna was appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador by the UN Refugee Agency in March.

Praya Lundberg ’12, who studied Law and Politics, is the first Thai Goodwill Ambassador and the first ever to be appointed for the Southeast Asia region.

An actor and model in Thailand, Praya has joined other well-known figures and UN ambassadors, such as actors Angelina Jolie and Cate Blanchett, actor and director Jung Woo-sung and author Khaled Hosseini, in campaigning for refugee rights.

The 2017 Oxford Human Rights Festival, held at Brookes, featured iconic film director Ken Loach.
