Alumni networks around the world

Our international alumni network is growing, and helping to promote Oxford Brookes to new audiences.

Beijing and Shanghai chapters have been working with Oxford Brookes staff to support student recruitment. Alumni at the event in Beijing took part in a promotional film, and in Shanghai alumni met with prospective students.

In Berlin, alumni met Vice- Chancellor Professor Alistair Fitt and Associate Dean of Research and Knowledge Exchange, Professor Nigel Crook in May at the Amano Hotel. Following the event, Oliver Moufarrej ’18 was appointed as Alumni Ambassador.

In Athens, Greece-based alumna Emma Parker ’96 gave an inspiring speech at the launch event for the new partnership between Oxford Brookes and Metropolitan College. The event, at the UK Ambassador’s residence, enabled alumni in Greece to network and meet staff members from both institutions.

Omotayo Popoola ’09 has been appointed as the new Nigeria Chapter Leader. He says, “It is a great privilege to be Brookes Chapter Leader in Nigeria. I like the enthusiasm that comes from introducing a new alumnus or prospective student into the network. We are sharing ideas on projects and career paths, and orientating and educating prospective students on life at Oxford Brookes.”
