Oxford Brookes University received a silver award in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) results announced in June.
The TEF was introduced by the UK Government to “recognise and reward excellent learning and teaching at universities”.
This year’s TEF considered teaching excellence across three main aspects: teaching quality; learning environment; and student outcomes and learning gain. Based on the evidence available, the TEF Panel judged that the University delivers “high quality teaching, learning and outcomes for its students. It consistently exceeds rigorous national quality requirements for UK higher education.”
The TEF award also recognises the “outstanding levels of satisfaction with teaching and assessment and feedback.”
Great teaching is something that many Brookes alumni benefited from - including many international alumni.
